The head of the League of Ukrainian Muslimahs, Niyara Mamutova, was awarded with a diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For services to the Ukrainian people”.
The awarding ceremony took place in the House of the Metropolitan of the National Reserve “Sofia Kyivska”. The event was attended by Head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar, representatives of churches and religious organizations, military chaplains, volunteers and public figures.
In their speeches, representatives of the state authorities emphasized the important role that religious organizations and public activists play in resisting Russia’s armed aggression and volunteering.
In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the head of the Ukrainian Muslimahs League Niyara Mamutova was awarded for her significant personal contribution to strengthening the spirituality of the Ukrainian people, moral and psychological support of military personnel in the face of Russian aggression, educational and volunteer activities.
Unfortunately, the head of the Ukrainian Muslimahs League could not attend at the award ceremony. Therefore, Susan Islamova received the certificate on her behalf.
At the same time, according to Ms. Niyara, she does not perceive literacy as a personal achievement:
— Although the certificate is signed with my name, I believe that this award from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is given to every woman who cares about what is happening around her. This is the achievement of all Muslim women working with us in the same team in different cities, implementing their ideas, donating their time to charity and volunteering, extending a helping hand to those in need. They shared kindness before the war and continue today. I know many women who may never receive a diploma, but they really do alot for Ukraine and society. Therefore, I ask Allah to give the best reward to everyone who fills life with good deeds, and to our country – victory and peace.
